From October 23rd-31st, Slane Distillery will be hosting a series of specially created evenings with Irish mythology podcasters Candlelit Tales.
The Puca Halloween Festival is back, and this year Slane Castle are joining in on the fun. From 23 – 31 October visitors from near and afar are being welcomed back for a week of music and mythology, sideshows and standup, cabaret and cocktails, and everything else in between.
On arrival at Slane Distillery, the tour will begin with a short background into the history of the Gothic Stable Block at Slane Castle, now home to Slane Distillery.

Following this brief introduction guests will enjoy a fully tutored Slane Irish Whiskey Deconstructed Tasting. This exclusive tasting consists of 4 whiskeys in total. Guests will have the rare opportunity to taste whiskeys from the distillery's Virgin, Seasoned, and Sherry Casks.
Following this 30-minute tasting experience, guests will be led into the private whiskey lounge for a complimentary specially created Slane Whiskey Púca Punch Cocktail whilst listening to tales of Irish Folklore from Candlelit Tales by the fireside.
Afterward, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy full access to the Puca Festival Trail. ‘Púca’, the shape-shifting creature from Celtic folklore and a familiar character in Ireland’s narrative of Halloween, will turn the rock n’ roll surrounds of Slane Castle into a playground for the spirits this year, and spectacular illuminations and installations will bring the landscape to life.
These special Samhain tours will take place on the 23rd-24th and 28th-31st of October and are limited to a maximum of 12 people. Tickets are €50 per person and are available here.

Púca Festival will take place across County Meath and County Louth and, for the first time, Slane Castle is joining in the fun, alongside the our festival hubs of Athboy, Trim and Drogheda, each steeped in Samhain legend and tradition.
As Samhain also marked the end of the harvest season, Púca Festival embraces the enormous wealth and quality of the local produce on its doorstep, making food and drink another star of the show. From world class whiskey, to award winning seafood, locally raised meat and natural honey, there is something to tickle every taste bud.
