Snail Mail (aka Lindsay Jordan) has shared a surprise new song called 'a cuckhold's refrain'- featuring indie legend Mac DeMarco under new moniker 'peppermint patty'.

The song was released only on YouTube via Jordan's personal account. The Maryland musician revealed it yesterday with a screenshot of the YouTube video on her Instagram account with no caption.

The song is quite literally about being cuckolded - Jordan sings in the verse, "I got the beef/ you got the cheese/ I'll be the cuck/ you'll be the tease," with DeMarco chiming in for the chorus, "If I had known just one night would cuck me out of my own home/ who'd have thunk that I'd be all alone."

The track was recorded in DeMarco's garage, and also features JD Beck, Domi, and Deaton Chris Anthony. DeMarco hasn't released new music since 2019, while Snail Mail released her sophomore album Valentine in 2021. After a delay due to a vocal cord injury, the singer-songwriter is currently touring in support of the acclaimed album.
