Creative reinventions of events are looking like the way forward.
Following the news of socially-distanced drive-in concerts in Ireland this summer, there have since been examples of music venues emerging in brand new forms as a result of the pandemic.
A socially-distanced, immersive music event and venue named 'Lockdown Town' is launching in London this October, with health and safety measures showing no sign of going away alongside COVID-19.
One Night Records announced Lockdown Town as a "secret" pop-up location near London Bridge, running from October 2 until October 31.
The experience takes fans back to the era of 1950's rock and roll in as safe a manner as possible.
Describing Lockdown Town, venue organisers said “the exciting new live event, the first of its kind to be designed as a social distanced experience, will offer guests the chance to spend a unique night out together with a group of friends or family in a specially designed safe environment.”

Venues are struggling to survive given the current closures and gig cancellations, and have spoken of their concerns regarding the reintroduction of live gigs.
The future of live music remains uncertain until a vaccine is available, and even after this. If social distancing was enforced at shows, it could change how music is experienced in the future.
The majority of the summer’s shows and festivals remain cancelled or postponed, and social restrictions are potentially being kept in place in Ireland and the UK until 2021.
A recent US poll found that most gig-goers would rather wait until a vaccine is found before attending live shows again.
Music Venue Trust (MVT) launched a new campaign, ‘Save Our Venues’, in a bid to stave off the continued economic threat to over 500 grassroots music venues throughout the UK in April.
This autumn, the Roaring '20s will return with the revamped Great Gatsby immersive experience. Producers Brian Hook and Louis Hartshorn have reimagined this West End favourite to be presented as a full-on Art Deco Masquerade Ball, fully compliant with COVID-19 restrictions.
Dolan's Warehouse, Limerick City & County Council and Cooper Developments have put together an innovative series of drive-in gigs taking place this July in Limerick's Greenpark.

Starting in the States as a way to get the live music industry up and running again, Carl Owens of MPI Artists decided to recreate the idea.
The first 'Dolan's Presents Live At The Drive-In' headliner on July 24 is Gavin James.
Hermitage Green have been added to the line-up and will take to the stage on August 1st.
The Live at the Drive-in initiative will also see concerts taking place in Cork, Kilkenny and Waterford.
It's expected that around 250-300 cars will be at the gigs, with tickets priced at €60 plus booking fees.
