The film and music event was shared via an Instagram post yesterday.
On Thursday October 24, Hedigans 'The Brian Boru' in Glasnevin, Dublin will host Solidarity Sessions for Lebanon. There will be a film screening of 33 Days by Mai Masri. There will also be a singing session lead by musicians Zoé Basha and Eva Carroll.
Doors open at 7pm, entry is €10, and will go towards a donation for a mutual aid project in Beirut, which was set up by "a couple of people wondering on a whatsapp group what could be done and how they could help. Right now they are doing what they can to care for and share resources with displaced people in the streets, and people in shelters".
The Instagram post also shows a QR code for people to give donations should they be unable to make the event.
33 Days, the movie that will be screened, was filmed during the Israeli attack on Lebanon in 2006, depicting the lives of four young, creative people working in theatre, media, and emergency relief. The film tells the untold stories that marked the lives of those who survived.
