The Irish-based, voluntary-led collective is inviting all voices to attend a Public Meeting in the building of the Irish Music Rights Organisation, on December 13.
Consisting of composers, sound artists, performers, musicologists, critics, promoters, industry professionals, organisations, and individuals, Sounding the Feminists is committed to promoting and publicising the creative work of female musicians.
It has held workshops about creating, writing and performing music and takes a stand for equality, fairness and diversity within the music industry.
The collective's forthcoming meeting will take place next Friday from 6:30 to 8pm and is open to all, so that the following can be discussed:
"There will be reports on the progress of recent STF initiatives, discussions on procedures for the replacement of Working Group personnel, and an opportunity for the wider STF group to voice their feedback and ideas on how STF moves forward.

This collective needs your voice to help us alter and diversify the Irish music sector, so that gender and inclusivity moves beyond a topic and is simply a part of our culture. Join us!"
Last month, Sounding the Feminists has also announced that they would publish a 2019 Gender Balance Review, in association with The Contemporary Music Centre.
