Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny will be returning to our screens on August 23.
Fans of South Park may recall the ominous ending of season 20, with Trump-proxy President Garrison standing in the oval office with an army of the malignant Memberberries. (Member?)
Well the evil fruit’s endgame will surely be revealed in the 21st season of Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s evergreen animated satire, which premieres on Comedy Central in the US on Wednesday, August 23, at 10pm US time, as revealed on the show's Facebook page.
This will mean that the episode will be available to view on Comedy Central Europe at 10pm, August 24.
The pair have already revealed some hints as to how the 21st season will be structured. As suggested by the title of the season 20 finale, ‘The End of Serialisation As We Know It’, the show will return to it’s old, one-off episode format, following two seasons of linear, serialised storytelling.

Parker and Stone have also revealed that the show will steer away from political satire this season,
with the last two seasons heavily focusing on Trump and the presidential election. Trey Parker revealed why on an interview with journalist Bill Simmons on his podcast earlier this month, saying that Trump was impossible to parody.
“If you have like a little monkey and it’s running himself into the wall over and over and you’re like, ‘That’s funny, but how am I gonna make fun of the monkey running himself into the wall?’ I can discuss the monkey running himself into the wall, I can copy the monkey running into the wall, but nothing’s funnier than the monkey just running himself into the wall.”
While that may be true, it’s hard to imagine the famously venomous writers of South Park giving the beleaguered White House a free pass for the whole season.
