Matt Stone and Trey Parker focus on the recent NFL protests
This Friday, the new series of South Park begins on Comedy Central. It's the 20th season of the groundbreaking animation and there's plenty of controversy for the creators to sink their teeth into.
The first episode of the series is going to tackle the ongoing wave of protests from NFL players. The rush of players kneeling, sitting and or raising their fists in a Black Panther style, has been going on for the past few weeks in America.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, is pin pointed as the player that got the ball rolling when he refused to stand for 'The Star-Spangled Banner' American national anthem, at four pre-season games. Afterwards the QB said he was protesting against the way African-Americans were treated by the police in the USA.
Kaepernick has been joined by a small number of players across the league who are now not standing for the national anthem.
