Stillgarden Distillery has announced their first comedy night to be held on October 20th. Their Cocktail Masterclass area will transform into a comedy lounge to welcome iconic Irish comedians John Colleary, Ashlee Bentley and Joe Rooney with Sharon Mannion as MC.
John Colleary is a wildly talented actor and comedian who has co-written and starred in two IFTA nominated shows- The Savage Eye and Irish Pictorial Weekly. A regular at Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Vodafone Comedy Carnival, and Electric Picnic, Colleary will headline the evening of comedy in the distillery.
Supporting Colleary is Ashlee Bentley, one of the most talented and up and coming young comedians in Ireland. Her 'quirky humour' and 'brutally honest yet hilarious personal tales' make her stand out. She was crowned winner of the 2016 Show Me The Funny competition and the 2017 Ireland Regional Final of Funny Women.
Joe Rooney of Father Ted will also grace the distillery stage. He has been a headline act across the world for years- performing in Ireland, the UK, China, the US, Russia, Dubai and more. In 2018, he starred in US feature film Wretch. Rooney also starred in the musical Angel Of Broadway performed in the National Concert Hall with a full orchestra.
