Belgian musician Stromae has announced his third studio album, Multitude - the follow-up to 2013’s Racine Carrée.

The highly-anticipated project is due to arrive on March 4th via Darkroom/Interscope. According to a press release, Multitude will feature 12 tracks, all written and produced by Stromae (real name Paul Van Haver).

Back in October, Stromae returned with 'Santé', his first new song since 2018’s 'Défiler.' The 'Alors On Danse' star will perform 'Santé' on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this evening.

Stromae first came to widespread public attention in 2009 with his song 'Alors on Danse' from the album Cheese, which became a number one in several European countries. In 2013, sophomore album Racine carrée was a major success, selling 2 million copies in France alone and nearly 600,000 units elsewhere. The album spanned hit singles 'Papaoutai' and 'Formidable'. The 36-year-old, born to a Belgian mother and Rwandan father, has sold over 8.5 million records worldwide.

Of his music and influences, he has said: "I was in a little group doing rap music. I thought that rather than copying the French sound, I'd focus on a more American style but give it a European spin. And then I rediscovered the 90s Eurodance. For a long time we were ashamed of that sound but in fact, there's a lot to discover. It has its roots in everything from house to salsa. I also really admire Jacques Brel – he has been a huge influence on me – but also all sorts of other stuff, Cuban son, and the Congolese rumba, that I heard as a child; that music rocked the whole of Africa."
