The much loved Wexford-born tailor passed away after a battle with cancer on July 17.
Wexford-born tailor Nicky Wallace has passed away at 69.
Wallace was locally known as the tailor-to-the-stars. The Wexford man designed the famous 'Miami Vice' suits alongside Johnny Logan's white suit, worn for his second Eurovision win.
Son of a well-known Wexford town tailoring and menswear family, Nicky took his esteemed tailoring reputation international. He enjoyed an outstanding reputation as he designed the iconic suits worn by Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas in the hit American TV series 'Miami Vice', also making clothes for rock stars such as David Bowie and Van Morrison.
Wallace had many private clients throughout his time, featuring leading figures in the Irish business and entertainment worlds, while also designing clothes for Premier League footballers.
Having spent many years working in the UK and France, Nicky returned home to his native Wexford in recent times, setting up a specialised boutique in the town.
Nicky passed away on Sunday July 17 after a battle with cancer.

Before his passing at the young age of 69, Nicky held a sale in his boutique with a percentage of proceeds given to the Irish Cancer Society and the Hope Cancer Support Centre in Wexford.
Nicky's death notice on RIP.ie reads: "The death has occurred of Nicholas (Nicky) Wallace, at his home St Jude's St John's Road, Wexford town. Beloved son of the late James and Ita, loving father of Karl and Lauren and brother of Mary, Jim, Eugene, Brendan, Elinor and the late John and Dorothy.
"Sadly missed by Carmel and mother of his children, son, daughter, daughter-in-law Jenni, Lauren's partner Tom, granddaughter Mia, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and neighbours."
