Pansonic’s new SC-NP10 Wireless Speaker has surround sound for tablets without a spaghetti junction of cables. The system can be used with any Bluetooth-enabled tablet device and clocks in at a svelte 1.6kg. Near Field Stereo Sound creates realistic sound even if your living quarters are the size of a shoe-box. There’s 2.1-channel Surround Sound, and 3-1/8 inch integrated subwoofer for added boom. “Tablets tend to have poor sound quality and volume, making it nearly impossible for more than one user to hear what is playing,” said Michael Friedrich, Senior Manager Product Marketing Europe Home AV. “The new SC-NP10 Wireless Speaker [has] true-to-life quality sound, enhancing their overall tablet experience.”

A new survey from Canon Ireland suggests one in four of us take photographs every day. Despite the rise of social media, 43% of people keep a printed picture of a loved one in our wallets, and 1 in 5 still print their photographs. Other findings included the unsurprising revelation that a third of Facebook users dread being tagged in photos after a night out; 14% admit to taking ‘selfies’. Barack Obama and Brian O’Driscoll are the men we would most like to photograph. Meryl Streep and Mary McAleese are our top female choices. For real?
