Beats headphones were made for hip-hop. Not surprising, since they were created by one of rap’s most legendary producers and performers.
But Dr Dre might have overcompensated on the 808 bass – a lot of Beats brands shook our bones after a couple of listens. This wireless set has supposedly tamed the bass, allowing room for a wider range of levels. The ear muffs don’t cover your ears, though, so expect audio leakage.
For the sake of convenience, Dre’s new Bluetooth wireless headphones have no remote. Instead, adjust the Beats logo on the left can to toggle volume, pause, or skip tracks. There’s a built-in microphone for hands-free phone blabber. The headphones supposedly fold up without a risk of breaking, although the plastic design may not be built to last. These cans cost an eye-watering €270, so you can listen to tunes while Dre buys more Miami condos.
