Hit the road headphone jack. That’s the message from Apple, whose new iPhone 7 was launched this month without the reassuring 3.5mm headphone port. Instead, Apple fans have to stuff AirPod wireless ear buds into their cranium, then pray these €179 accessories don’t fall out. The AirPods aren’t all hot air, though. They activate audio as soon as you put them on, include touch features, and last five hours on a full battery.
The phones are brimming with power. iPhone 7 claims to have 40 hours of battery life when wireless audio is in use. iPhone 7Plus has up to 60 hours. Both feature powerful 64-bit quad-core processors and increased storage (32GB, 128GB and 256GB). Early adopters reckon the iPhone 7’s cameras are their best asset. The iPhone 7 Plus features a zoom feature, normally found in DSLR cameras.

Progress comes at a price, though. 32GB iPhone 7, the cheapest version, will set you back €779.
