Tech review: Sony Xperia X
Assault on the low-life battery
How come mobile phones in the 1990's had longer battery lives than the ones today? Lame battery life is the bane of the modern age, but Sony's Xperia X could have a solution in hand. This phone supposedly ticks over for two days before dosing off. Usage can be further extended in stamina mode. Sony's snug smartphone comes with a 5" full HD display and a bunch of covers for practical (and sartorial) sake. Style Cover Touch SCR50, for example, has a flip cover that lets you access phone functions even when the cover is closed. The phone's 23MP camera snaps to attention in under a second, allowing you to capture unexpected moments. The autofocus feature tracks moving subjects while reducing blur. Video recording has image stabilisation for life's wobblier moments. Xperia X also has forward-facing stereo speakers, pumping out the jams in the absence of headphones.
