The 2019 Exhibition Programme is set to feature four solo exhibitions, including new work by two international artists.
Tai Shani, whose epic installation Dark Continent: Semiramis was a highlight of the Glasgow International 2018 and, Pilvi Takala, one of the most successful of a new generation of artists from Finland.
Notable Irish artists who are set to exhibit in solo exhibitions are Aileen Murphy, based in Berlin, and Ronan McCrea - currently a TBG+S Studio Member. A group exhibition featuring Aleana Egan, Miranda Blennerhassett, Tanad Williams and Andreas Kindler von Knobloch, titled staring forms, begins from an exploration of texts to consider space, site, materiality, and encounters that interact with memory.
Annemarie Ní Churreáin, a poet from North West Donegal is TBG+S’ fifth commissioned writer who will respond to each of the exhibitions, offering an alternative form of writing on art.
