Based on Khaled Hosseini’s eponymous bestselling novel, The Kite Runner will come to Ireland following widely successful Broadway and West End seasons.
Adapted by Matthew Spangler and directed by Giles Croft, The Kite Runner will make its Irish theatre debut this April in Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre for a limited run from 2-6 April 2024.

Afghanistan teeters on the brink of war, tearing apart families, neighbours and friends. It’s a beautiful day in Kabul as the town prepares for its famed kite flying tournament, but no one can foresee the tragedy that will change their lives forever.
Following recent Broadway and West End successes, The Kite Runner will tour across the UK and Ireland this Spring, opening in Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre on 2 April for a four-day stint. This theatrical adaptation has garnered widespread international acclaim for its compelling and powerful story, making it a must-see event this season!
