The much-loved musical returns to Ireland for a six week run from September through to November, 2023.
Dublin's Bord Gáis Energy Theatre will once again become home to the much-loved Disney musical, The Lion King, in 2023.
Tickets will go on sale this day next week for the six-week run. Dates from Thursday, September 28 to Saturday, November 11 will be available to purchase through Ticketmaster from 9am on the Friday.
The show toured through the UK and Ireland in December 2021, however covid restrictions at that time meant audience numbers were drastically reduced.
Now, the show makes a triumphant return to full audiences - the perfect opportunity for anyone who might have missed out last time.
Using incredible masks, costumes, puppets, and jubilant musical numbers - the story of The Lion King bursts into life, telling the audience of Simba's wild adventures, dealing with incredible loss, the responsibilities of becoming an adult - and eventually, the king.
Stephen Faloon, General Manager of Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, spoke about the return of the musical with glee, saying: "As Disney’s The Lion King celebrates a momentous milestone of 25 years on Broadway, we are honoured to welcome back this phenomenal production to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in 2023.

The show has toured across more than 100 cities in 20 countries on every continent - bar Antarctica - with The Lion King’s worldwide gross exceeding that of any film, Broadway show or any other entertainment title in box office history.
Seen by over 110 million people internationally, we at Hot Press can't wait for the show's very welcome return.
Tickets for The Lion King's six-week run are available on Friday, December 9 at 9am, on Ticketmaster.
