Tickets for The Lost Brothers at the Solstice Arts Centre are priced at €25, with special guests Dónal Lunny, Paddy Glackin and Niamh Regan.
Hot Press Readers Poll nominees The Lost Brothers have announced two special homecoming gigs for this weekend. The duo will be playing the Solstice Arts Centre in Navan on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd.
They duo will be joined by Dónal Lunny of Planxty with Paddy Glackin of the Bothy Band on Friday night, who will open the weekend with their fusion of Irish traditional and modern folk. On Saturday, Niamh Regan will support — playing songs off of her beautiful, indie-folk EP, In the Meantime.
With their blend of earthy roots and meandering blues, The Lost Brothers have created a sound like no other. Painting images of the sun setting over the American west, or the twilight hours slipping by in an empty city, the duo creates space for the in-between moments in life. Gentle, yet powerful, they are a subtle force of nature — bringing impressive finger picking and serene drums to the roots scene.
Having released six critically acclaimed albums since their inception in 2008, The Lost Brothers have garnered various accolades, from being described as "pure magic" by Rolling Stone, to being tipped for Best Folk Act by the 2022 Hot Press Readers Poll. The band played a sold-out Vicar Street debut earlier this year, and were awarded the BBC6 Album of the Day upon the release of their 2020 project, After the Fire After the Rain.
