Normal People’s Paul Mescal and famed director Baz Luhrmann are just the beginning of Theroux’s celebrity roster.
Acclaimed documentary maker Louis Theroux has unveiled a stellar lineup for the sophomore series of his Spotify podcast.
Heading the roster is Irish actor Paul Mescal, known for his breakout role as Connell Waldron in the TV adaptation of Sally Rooney’s Normal People. With subsequent roles in hit films Aftersun and All of Us Strangers, Mescal has quickly rocketed into stardom, making him the perfect guest to kick off the new series.
Alongside Mescal, listeners can anticipate the appearance of critically acclaimed director Baz Lurhman, famed for his “Red Curtain Trilogy '' of Strictly Ballroom (1992), William Shakespear’s Romeo + Juliet (1996) and Moulin Rouge! (2001) as well as his recent hit Elvis. Basic Instinct actress Sharon Stone, singer PinkPantheress and podcaster Adam Buxton are also slated to join the lineup.

The podcast’s first series saw in-depth interviews with entertainment stars such as country legend Shania Twain, Chicken Shop date host Amelia Dimoldenberg, US TV star Jennette McCurdy, and Queer Eye’s Tan France to name a few.
The second series of The Louis Theroux Podcast will be available on Spotify from Tuesday 21 January, with new installments streaming every Tuesday.
