Bryce Dessner of The National has announced a new classical album with the Australian String Quartet, called Impermanence/Disintegration. 

The record is due for release on April 2nd, and was originally composed for the Sydney Dance Company, and a piece choreographed by Rafael Bonachela. The company will perform the piece this month at Sydney's Roslyn Packer Theatre Walsh Bay, before they take the piece to the Adelaide Festival in March.

Dessner's album and the dance piece both close with a string arrangement of AHNOHNI's 'Another World'.

Violinists Dale Barltrop and Francesca Hiew, violist Stephen King, and guest cellist Rachael Tobin make up the Australian String Quartet, and the album also features electronics and mixing from one of Dessner's frequent collaborators, David Chalmin.

In addition to contributing to Taylor Swift's two most recent albums, folklore and evermore, the prolific musician released four albums in 2019: El Chan, When We Are Inhuman, the score for The Kitchen and music for The Two Popes.
