The Cork-based theatre company specialises in original absurdist satirical work.
Having debuted at the 2023 Cork Midsummer Festival, The Pigeon Factory is set to run three nights from May 9-11 at Smock Alley.
Described as a "one-man show that explores ideas of work, family, and finding purpose in a broken society through the lens of absurdity, pathos, and pigeons", the play promises to be a bizarre tragicomedy.
Following Walden (played by Aaron O'Neill), The Pigeon Factory charts his demise as he works his pigeon children into the ground so that he may feast upon their eggs for sustenance.
The play was written by O'Neill and directed by fellow Oh!Scare Wilde productions mainstay Dee Finn.
The pair's previous collaborations include Canterville in Spiritu Sancto (2019), Issues: An Important Play (2020), and The Relatability Engine(2022).
