With more artists to be announced, The Road to The Great Escape tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am.
Ahead of its 2023 return, the first round of artists have been announced for The Road To The Great Escape.
The two-day festival is taking place on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th May 2023 in venues across Dublin; including Whelan’s, The Grand Social, Workman’s and Academy 2.
Next year’s edition will see Irish artists gracing the stage, including Kilkenny electro-pop duo 49th & Main, new-age Dublin songwriter Sammy Copley, Belfast-based outfit Chalk and Sorcha Richardson - fresh from the release of her second album Smiling Like An Idiot.
49th & Main recently played a stellar set at LIFE@ALOFT in the Liberties as part of a new Hot Press series, impressing the crowd with tracks from their latest EP Must Be Nice.

The talented acts will share the Road to The Great Escape stage with international artists like indie-rock four-piece Vacations, Chicago born/LA-based Seb, and Edinburgh’s finest Calum Bowie.
Sottish singer-songwriter Katie Gregson-MacLeod will also make an appearance over the two days, following the viral success of her track ‘Complex’ and the recent release of her debut EP songs written for piano, which saw her featured in The New York Times and across the BBC.
Minneapolis songwriter Ber, who generates over 1.6 million monthly Spotify listeners with tracks such as ‘Meant To Be’ and ‘I’m Not In Love’, is also set to play.
