Cult queer comedy night, Token Straight, is hosting a special Pride performance featuring Ireland’s best LGBTQ+ comics this Thursday (June 22) at 8pm.

Since 2019, Token Straight has been Ireland’s premiere queer comedy night, hosting monthly comedy shows full of hilarious talent - and, of course, the titular Token straight comedian.

This year, in honour of Dublin Pride, the collective will hold a special gig in the legendary Sugar Club.

Comedian, actor and content creator Michael Fry from Navan will be delivering a highly-anticipated set at the gig. He is best known for his satirical sketches and musical renditions of viral videos on Twitter and Instagram which have led to appearances at festivals and on radio and television in both Ireland and the UK.

Currently, Fry is touring his live standup show around Ireland and further afield in 2023.

Also performing on the night will be Shane Daniel Byrne, a writer, actor, MC and award winning stand-up comedian. He has performed at clubs all over Dublin as well as major festivals including Vodafone Comedy Festival, The Cat Laughs and Love Sensation. At Cat Laughs 2019 he was named 'The Rockies Champion'.

Joining the lineup then is Lolsy Byrne, an award-winning stand-up and one of the stars of the TRY Channel, gaining hundreds of millions of views with their "Irish People Try..." videos. A regular on the Irish comedy scene and further afield, her notable appearances include Electric Picnic, Longitude, "Best of Irish" at The Stand, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where she has performed her solo shows to sold-out audiences.

Felix O’Connor, Dublin-based trans comic, will also be taking to the stage with a set that takes the absurdity of the trans experience and melds it with regular absurdity, cheeky sex stories and biting social commentary. Felix's off the wall comedic stylings are sure to have you laughing and maybe, just maybe, thinking a little too.

Felix is co-founder of Hysteria Comedy and Token Straight, and host of the Not Trans Trans Movies podcast.

Finally, Allie O’Rourke award-winning transgender stand up comedian, designer and screenwriter will be peddling her unique brand of "girl dick energy". Co-founder of the Hysteria comedy collective and resident mc and founder of Token Straight, Allie is a hilarious and eye opening middle finger to a world that doesn’t want trans people to exist.
