Viral songwriters Barlow and Bear announced on TikTok that their concept album, The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical, will debut on September 10th.

The album will focus on the first season of the Netflix hit show – which stars Ireland's own Nicola Coughlan – and will feature 15 original songs written and performed by 22 year old Abigail Barlow and 19 year old Emily Bear.

The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical was originally composed by the music duo for social media, garnering 36 million likes, more than 2 million followers, and nearly 200 million views on the #bridgertonmusical hashtag.

Barlow and Bear have been live streaming their writing sessions to give their fans a behind-the-scenes look at how their music is made. “The duo has broken new ground by involving their audience in their process every step of the way via social media, and will be mirroring this direct-to-consumer distribution by self-releasing the album on all major streaming and downloading music services,” a statement described.

“The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical concept album is poised to delight fans and new listeners alike with its sweeping orchestrations, clever lyrics, power ballads, and pop topline,” the statement continues. “The result is a uniquely contemporary score with classical, pop and Broadway influences.”

Barlow began writing pop songs at age 16 and her recent hit 'Heartbreak Hotel' reached #2 on the iTunes pop charts. the pop singer even caught the attention of Meghan Trainor on social media, whom Barlow calls her biggest mentor.

Bear has been composing classical music since she was a toddler. The child prodigy has scored music for Disney, DreamWorks, Warner Brothers, and Universal, earning herself an honour in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The pair will be performing The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical Aug. 12 through 14 at Bicester Village in the Oxfordshire countryside in England, as well as Aug. 29 at Broadway’s outdoor music festival, Elsie Fest, in New York.
