The festival features musical performances, storytelling, and a celebration of local food.
The annual Waterford Harvest Festival will return to the city for its 15th year this September 6-8, with new directors and a range of performances.
The festival, which celebrates local food and those who produce it, has announced that Mark Dunne and Martin Nolan are this year’s directors.
Nolan is the co-director of Púca, Fáilte Ireland’s flagship Halloween celebration. Dunne has been involved in the Harvest weekend since its inception, as well as other festivals around the country.
Alongside the food-based entertainment, there will be live music in John Roberts square, as well as a set by Hothouse Flowers in Christchurch Cathedral.
Seanchaí (storyteller) Eddie Lenihan will also be present, speaking on the local folklore and mythology.

Local and Irish food producers are the Harvest's focus, as well as the region’s food heritage. In a statement, Dunne said the festival has “an a-la-carte menu to suit everyone’s palates and pockets.”
In a statement, Nolan said he was excited to be hosting an exclusive fine-dining experience in Waterford City Hall, alongside chef Keith Boyle.
“Keith was not only was crowned best chef in Leinster and Munster at the Irish Restaurant Awards, but he would also be well known in Waterford as the proprietor of The Bay Tree and now as Consultant Chef with Kilkenny Civic Trust”, said Nolan.
