Tickets for the 'The Tolü Makay Experience: A Night to be Reborn' will go on sale this Friday, December 18th at 9am.
Since first dipping her toes into music by singing in church as a child, Tolü Makay has fast become one of Ireland's most thrilling talents.
The Nigerian-born singer shared her debut EP, BEING, back in October of this year, played the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions shortly after and has now announced her first headline show at the Grand Social in 2021.
'The Tolü Makay Experience: A Night to be Reborn' will take place on May 28th, 2021 at the Dublin venue, with MCD Productions as partners.
Tolü Makay has released numerous genre-bending singles this year, one being 'You Are Enough' - inspired by reading 'You Are A Badass...' by Jen Sincero and the motivational stylings of US gospel singer William McDowell.
The soul singer shared 'Don't Let Go', the first single from her EP BEING in August.
BEING is "a deeply personal account of my journey through struggles with mental health and finding myself. The album goes through the phases of how I felt moving from the midlands to Dublin, being wrapped up in a job I wasn’t happy in, and gradually learning who I am."

This first offering fuses full brass sounds and elements of gospel with her first-rate, textured vocal.
"I’m pretty excited, and nervous, to share this first track," the Offaly-raised artist says about 'Don't Let Go'.
"The project was born last year, at a transitional point in my life when I was working a full-time night shift for a multinational corporation. I was deeply stressed, and unhappy, lost. While juggling the night shift and trying to rehearse for the show, I felt like giving up music, giving up on myself. Instead, I decided to quit my job and explore my own path. This song really gave me the motivation to keep going."
