Clickety Split
Toshiba’s new laptop is feeling rather detached. This is due to its keyboard, which pops off like a champagne cork in a rapper’s crib.
The Click 10, a laptop-tablet hybrid, has a blinding 1920 x 1200 resolution with wide angle technology. In a world of wimpy batteries that grind to a halt shortly after booting up, Toshiba claims an impressive 15 hours out of its new creation. This is supposedly on account of an “intelligent” charging system that maximises the tablet’s use when undocked from the keyboard. The proof, of course, is in the browsing.
Processing power comes from an Intel Atom processor with up to 4GB of RAM. Stuff songs, photos and other personal possessions into the 64GB eMMC storage.
A microSD card slot pushes the capacity up to 128GB. Click 10 is locked and loaded with Windows 10, which is designed to switch from laptop to tablet without much fuss.
