Brendan McGlynn has cut his teeth performing in several different bands, but his latest solo venture Aonair sees him truly stepping into his own.
Aonair is the moniker of producer and multi-instrumentalist Brendan McGlynn. Today, the Donegal native has released 'Hope You Feel It,' the first single from an as-yet untitled body of work, recorded in studios across London, Berlin and Dublin. 'Hope You Feel It' is a dreamy and beautifully written electro-pop tune, replete with wavy synth and soulful melody.
“For the new tracks this year, I just wanted to push myself as much as possible," says McGlynn. 'Hope You Feel It' was created as part of a writing exercise, where McGlynn wrote and recorded a song every day for a month "I wanted to achieve something I was really proud of but also challenge my own abilities as an engineer and writer. As a solo artist, it’s hard to not get caught in the sea of artistic doubt. But I feel I’ve struck a sweet spot with these new tracks."
'Hope You Feel It' is about throwing caution to the wind and facing the uncertainty of the future. Listen below.
