The breakout Dublin-based duo are back with another banger following March's debut single 'Tutti Frutti'.
Emerging indie pairing Big Sleep have unveiled their second single of 2022 in the form of soulful groover 'In My Head'.
With a gloriously infectious guitar riff and warm vocals from Dubliner Rónán Connolly, it's a surefire radio and streaming hit from the boys that brought us 'Tutti Frutti'. It's a slightly slower tempo than their debut single, but has a sultry, woozy pace that allows the lyrics to really hit home.
The track was inspired by soul, R&B and pop outfits such as Jamiroquai, Jungle, Parcels and Tom Misch. 'In My Head' details the turbulent times of a relationship that stays the course in the hopes of brighter days on the horizon: "We could be star-crossed lovers if we make it through the night". The track debuted last night on RTE 2FM, after their tongue-in-cheek video for 'Tutti Frutti' gained deserved traction.
From hooky lead riffs and ethereal soundscapes to wandering trumpet passages, Big Sleep have forged a smooth indie-soul tune as the second cut off their forthcoming debut EP, Feel Something Someday.
This second instalment off the Irish-Italian duo's upcoming project was one of 5 tracks recorded in the live room of Hell Fire Studios, in the Dublin Mountains over two days in December 2021. James Smith (formerly of Gypsies on the Autobahn, currently J Smith) sound engineered, produced and mixed the tracks, adding his unique touch to the boys' sound. Feel Something Someday is set for release in June 2022 and tours of Ireland, Italy and France will kick off from May 1st 2022.

Matteo Poli (drums, percussion), Rónán Connolly (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Aidan Gray (bass guitar), Jacopo (lead guitar) and Cooks But We're Chefs trumpeter Jessie Russell added their talents to the single.
Big Sleep have worked their influences of punk and garage rock with R&B, pop and soul to create soundscapes that resemble the middle ground between the likes of DOPE LEMON, Whitney, and The Drums. The pair first met at school when Poli came to Dublin on exchange to learn English. The rest, as they say, is history.
After countless hours spent playing open mics, charity gigs, battles of the bands and busking sessions they gained a reputation for their energetic live shows, performing as a four-piece with a roster of some of Dublin’s most talented musicians. Now as mainstays of the city's live scene, they're onstage every week in venues across Dublin with sold-out shows in Whelan’s, Bellobar and La Cairola, Rome to date.
The charismatic duo's headline shows will take place in Cellar Bar Galway this Friday, May 20th (tickets here) and Sound House Dublin this Saturday, May 21st (tickets here).
