EFÉ's sophomore EP Vitamin C arrives on August 3rd, with 'Loving Girl' acting as the final single to be released from the project.
22-year-old Anita Ikhar, aka EFÉ, has shared another cut from her upcoming new EP Vitamin C - titled 'Loving Girl'.
The down-tempo indie/R&B jam showcases a different side to the Dubliner, tracing someone with attachment style issues who wants to give a relationship with a try. If emotional unavailability is your bag, 'Loving Girl' will surely have you swaying side to side. A compelling guitar riff carried a slowed down drum beat, but the emphasis is entirely on EFÉ's smooth vocal power.
"You know that I wanna be at home/I hurt everyone but myself/That’s why I get so alone/Don’t wanna hurt nobody/But that’s the same," she croons. "My loving don’t make sense/So I’ll be out late."
With one successful EP behind her (2020's What Should We Do This Summer?) and another ahead, a label contract with Platoon, and a recent support slot with JPEGMAFIA at his sold-out Dublin gig, 2022 to date has been surreal.
Vitamin C will arrive on August 3rd, following recent offerings 'KIWI' and 'LIME'. The former saw EFÉ craft a Wes Anderson-inspired video about of a girl who went camping and fell in love with a bear. It was inspired by Moonrise Kingdom.
“Most of the tracks were still made in my bedroom,” she laughed, speaking to Hot Press last month. “Platoon has a studio in London, and when they opened it up, I tried to go in and record some vocals, but I was immediately like, ‘No. I am too scared. I need to be in the comfort of my own home’. So I just went back to my bedroom.”

EFÉ recently impressed on the Forbidden Fruit and Longitude stages, introducing herself with multi-coloured wigs, carefree dancing and plenty of audience participation.
The rising star will also perform at Ireland Music Week. The showcase event is set to return to Dublin from October 4–7, capped off with two nights of music in various venues around the city on October 6 and 7.
