'Not a Vibe' is a confident electro pop track from rising star it's just Cat, referencing influences such as Ariana Grande and Remi Wolf.
Ascending pop star it's just Cat has unveiled the vibrant, fun-fuelled video for new single 'Not a Vibe', featuring an all-star queer cast.
Produced and mixed by Matthew Weir (Ryan Mack, Robert Grace, Fya Fox), the single is accompanied by an official video shot in Clontarf. Filmed and directed by Louis Maxwell at Grace Park Productions, it's just Cat and some of the darling Drag Queens of Dublin - Shaqira Knightly, Annie Queeries and Donna Fella - are all front and centre.
A music graduate of BIMM Dublin, it’s just Cat is pursuing her music career by moving around the UK and Ireland, working with a number of well-known writers in tandem with perfecting her live sound. Her first outdoor festival appearance saw the musician steal the show at The Mother Summer Block Party in Dublin in September, 2021.
it's just cat is due to support UK band Crawlers in The Academy, Dublin this coming April.
'Not a Vibe' marks the electro-pop talent's fourth release. Previous tracks ‘Ache’, ‘baby, blue’ and ‘slipping’ were featured on influential Spotify playlists such as Fresh Finds UK, Out Now, An Alternative Future & Rainbow in tandem with coverage on Hotpress.com. A fusion of electro pop vibes, 'Ache' referenced influences like Cardi B and Childish Gambino. Cat's new single has more attitude, in the best possible way.

“'Not a Vibe' is a reflection of my personal experience of the music industry," it's just Cat explains. "It’s a clap-back at people who have attempted to copy me while telling me I’m not good enough. The chorus celebrates the freedom I feel by cutting out people who bring bad vibes and the positive energy of the track represents my everlasting confidence that I’m happier than ever when I’m doing music. A feeling that is all my own and completely untouchable."
