There will be another gathering in memory of Sinead O’Connor in Dublin’s Phoenix Park tomorrow night, starting from 7pm.
Tributes have continued to pour in from fans and celebrities over the weekend for late singer Sinead O’Connor following her passing last Wednesday.
On Thursday evening a vigil was held outside the Rock and Roll Museum in Temple Bar. Fans lit candles, left flowers and photographs, and sang some of the singer’s biggest hits.
Sunday saw even more outpouring for the Dublin native in her hometown. GAA chiefs played the video for ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ ahead of the All-Ireland final in Croke park as thousands of fans sang along and clapped.
Also in the capital that day, around 100 people joined to sing “Nothing Compares 2 U” in Barnardo Square on Dame Street in an event organised by socialist feminist organisation ROSA. The group also had another meeting in Limerick's Bedford Row.

A separate gathering was held at Limerick's Arthurs Quay, as fans similarly met in unison to sing O’Connor’s timeless Prince cover yesterday.
"I'm delighted that so many people showed up, I really wasn't expecting it,” said event organiser and Hot Press staff writer Molly Cantwell.
“So many people came out to show their support and to remember Sinéad, it was wonderful,” she added. “The singers, the speakers - I'm so grateful to them for sharing their gift and their love for Sinéad as well.”
Some of the biggest names in music have also paid their respects, including the likes of Mark Ronson, Cyndi Lauper, Bob Geldof and Damien Dempsey.
“The whole of Mandinka is amazing but the pre chorus especially”, said Ronson on Twitter. "I don't know no shame, i feel no pain..." shocks my body everytime”.
At a concert in Japan, Foo Fighters and Alanis Morissette covered ‘Mandinka’, from O’Connor’s 1987 album Lion and the Cobra.
