"Time Magazine, getting this honour for the second time, I think I like it better this time actually," said the president-elect.
US president-elect Donald Trump has been named Time’s Person of the Year for a second time, after holding the title in 2016 when he was President.
The shortlist this year included public figures and politicians such as US Vice President Kamala Harris, Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Trump rang the opening bell at the New York stock exchange this morning, saying, "Time Magazine, getting this honour for the second time, I think I like it better this time actually."
The president-elect was accompanied by his soon to be vice president JD Vance, wife Melania and his daughters Tiffany and Ivanka.

"This is someone who made an historic comeback, who reshaped the American presidency and who is reordering American politics," said Jacobs.
