U2 fans are ecstatic to see the Irish band launch the one of a kind Las Vegas venue.
Ticketmaster has announced there will be no general on sale for tickets to U2's Las Vegas Sphere shows due to such a high presale demand from fans.
Presale tickets for the Dublin rock-band's 17 residency shows were released earlier this week to those who had subscribed to the 'Ticketmaster Verified Fan' list and the U2.com fan club. Around 340,000 people bought tickets using the mediums, leaving nothing left for fans who hoped to buy during today's general on-sale.

"The beauty of Sphere is not only the ground-breaking technology that will make it so unique, with the world’s most advanced audio system, integrated into a structure which is designed with sound quality as a priority; it’s also the possibilities around immersive experience in real and imaginary landscapes," affirmed U2 guitarist, The Edge, concluding:
"In short, it’s a canvas of an unparalleled scale and image resolution and a once-in-a-generation opportunity. We all thought about it and decided we’d be mad not to accept the invitation.”
The band were initially set to play only five shows this fall, but due to high demand, extended their performance number to seventeen. The Irish group will play mostly on weekends– with some Wednesday dates– between September and November of this year.
