It's the perfect curtain raiser for her Never Say Goodbye album, which is out next month
Hot Press is thrilled to premiere the video for 'My Something Beautiful', the new Luan Parle single, which is out on January 17 and is already getting Irish radio excited.
It's the country-flavoured first taster from her Never Say Goodbye album, which follows on February 7. The ten original tracks include two co-writes with Dire Straits guitarist Hal Lindes.
"‘My Something Beautiful’ blends jangly pop/rock smarts with country textures… guitar-driven with an insistently jaunty pace, it’s the kind of song which would sit happily in the repertoires of Emmylou Harris, Natalie Merchant or even The Bangles," our man Colm O'Hare enthuses. "There are echoes too of Fleetwood Mac in the seductive chorus and the tune is firmly grounded in that classic West Coast FM radio sound which has proved so enduring over the years. To put it another way, if Parle guested with [the late] Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers at their peak, the results would sound something like this."
That nails it perfectly! Luan kicks her nationwide tour off on January 17 in Bray's Mermaid Arts Centre and then heads to:
