"This video tells the story of cherishing every second that you have with friends," Pauric tells Hot Press.
Hotly-tipped Tipperary singer-songwriter Pauric O'Meara has shared the stunning new visuals for his latest single 'All Alright' - premiered below by Hot Press.
Following the release of his acclaimed Looking Forward to Hindsight EP, high-profile support slots for the likes of Hermitage Green and Hudson Taylor - plus lauded headliners at The Soundhouse and The Workman's Club in Dublin - Pauric O'Meara has been labelled a star-on-the-rise.
O'Meara shared his first single of the year, 'Final Say', back in July after a phenomenal 2020. Last year saw the release of 'Techno or R&B', 'Is This Real?' and 'Wasting Time', building up a noteworthy back catalogue of gems.
'All Alright' takes his sound in a new direction, full of diaristic lyrics and vulnerability aimed at friendship rather than romantic connections. The gorgeous visuals capture O'Meara around various Irish locations alongside his best friend, sharing moments in the outdoors and spending quality time together.
Whether it's going on hikes or saying goodbye at Dublin airport, the video has an ache of nostalgia and tugs at the heartstrings following three hugely challenging Covid lockdowns in Ireland.

We all clung to our friends over the past two years, many of whom emigrated or are in the process of leaving the country for numerous reasons (housing being a main one). In one video, Pauric has captured the essence of what got us through a massively difficult time: human connection.
"'All Alright' was written about two best friends who are separated by distance, but that doesn't get in the way of their friendship," Pauric tells Hot Press. "If anything it made the friendship stronger and helped them to cherish the memories made together even more until new memories can be made."
"The video highlights this friendship, and the importance of making the most out of the short periods of time that you have with that person."
O'Meara, his friend Shane and videographer Mark knew exactly what they wanted to achieve with the 'All Alright' visuals.
"We wanted to capture the relationship of two best friends, without staging it. This proved easier than we first imagined, as Mark basically just followed us with the camera for two days and captured us in our natural manner together."
"Every day we hear about love stories between a couple, we see new videos about two people in a romantic relationship, but rarely we see the love that two best friends have for each other - either in person or through a screen. It was vital for us that we captured this in our video, and maybe it might remind certain people to appreciate those around you more, and don't hesitate to let people know how much they mean to you while you can, because someday they may not be there anymore!"
Pauric O'Meara is slated to play Upstair's at Whelan's on December 10th, with more gigs on the way.
