Throughout lockdown, Irish music stalwart Wallis Bird has been running monthly virtual concerts, called 'Retrospective Sessions'. In each show, Wallis plays one of her six studio albums in full from beginning to end, and the session is always recorded in different locations around Berlin. There has been a luxury spa, a football stadium, Berlin's biggest gay club and Wallis' home.
Tomorrow (December 5th), Wallis will deliver one final show, centred around her latest album Woman. In our review, Hot Press called the record Wallis' "most accomplished outing yet. She will play from Cassiopeia in Berlin, one of Berlin's most famous subculture nightclubs.
The show promises to be made even more special by the fact that Wyvern Lingo will perform as Wallis' band. As the Woman album tour was completely solo, this will mark the first time the full album has been played with a band.
"6 Albums in 6 venues over 6 months. Over the last few months, I’ve had time to stop, look back, and recognise just how important my connection to others is through music and memory," reflects Wallis. "Getting this final show together was a lovely, enjoyable, of course challenging but ultimately great time. With the aim to be relaxed and enjoy it as much as possible, we set ourselves up for something unusual and special.

"This ‘Woman’ Retrospective Session show goes out with a bang. I have Wyvern Lingo's Karen Cowley and Caoimhe de Barra performing as my band. I love our trio, we are fab together. And we had a great time recording this last week. So much laughter and messing and then really playing so hard and passionately."
The concert will air tomorrow (December 5th) at 7pm GMT / 8pm CET. At this link, you can purchase tickets to view this extra special live stream at a reduced rate.
