Indie rockers Warpaint have announced their upcoming fourth album, Radiate Like This, with new single 'Champion'.
The new album lands on May 6th, marking the four-piece's first major release since 2016's Heads Up. The group co-produced Radiate Like This with Sam Petts-Davies, who worked with the band on 2021 single 'Lilys.'
They shared the track 'Champion' on BBC Radio 6 this morning (January 26), calling it an anthem for "being a champion to oneself and for others."
“We are all in this together, life is too short not to strive for excellence in all that we do."

In an interview with NME last spring, guitarist Theresa Wayman talked about the new direction the group will take in Radiate Like This.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about lyrics and so I’ve been thinking about Dylan a lot and how he strings a story together,” Wayman said. “He finds these perfect ways to say something that is so normal, it’s something that everyone experiences, but he unlocks this great metaphor for it.”
She continued to say this album will have more thematic variety than their previous releases.
“There’s a song from my higher self to my lower self on there, and a song about not needing to have anchors to anything. Em also wrote a song about the band and our relationship, and trying to evolve or grow with people who you’ve known for so long.”
