Bono and Pharrell performed Stayin’ Alive on the Jimmy Kimmel Live TV special (RED) benefit show to raise money and awareness for the fight against AIDS.
On the show, Bono also revealed to Kimmel that he and Lady Gaga will co-write a new song about the winner of a (RED) sweepstake.
Bono described Lady Gaga as a "sacred talent" and said he was inspired to do the song with her after watching her ad lib during a (RED) benefit event.
“She can improvise and make up tunes, she made up a song at this event about some red-haired man that she fell in love with,” Bono said.
“She said he was an Irish boy – I think she made that up – but she was making the song up as she went, and she’s kind of the best of what we’ve got. She’s a sacred talent.”
