The return of Revelino man Brendan Tallon continues apace with the release of 'American Strings' – taken from Tallon's highly-anticipated forthcoming album.
Brendan Tallon is back. Of that there can be no doubt, as he follows up his acclaimed first official solo single 'Old Man Superman', with another cracker. The former Revelino frontman has shared 'American Strings' via Mercenary Records, and it oozes class.
The release of Tallon solo material comes after last year’s re-release of Revelino’s remastered debut album, which was widely regarded as one of the outstanding Irish records of the time. The re-release went straight to No 1 in the Irish Indie charts.
This brand new, psychedelic folk track 'American Strings' is an ode to America, and sees Tallon showcasing his unique songwriting style. Tonally, it reflects his life-long love of Spaghetti westerns and is a celebration of American culture and influence.
Brendan is joined on this shimmering track by multi-instrumentalist Fintan Jones (flutes), Ray Martin (trumpets) and Mark Colbert (drums). The accompanying video (by Rory McDonald) also throws a nod to epic road trips celebrated in the American novel and cinema that are so synonymous with the classic "American experience."
