'Wagging Tongue' appears on Memento Mori, the band's first album released since the death of Andy Fletcher. Depeche Mode will play to a sold out Malahide Castle on June 14th.
Depeche Mode have released a sensational new black and white music video for their song 'Wagging Tongue'. 'Wagging Tongue' comes from the band's most recent album, Memento Mori, released in March of this year. It is the band's first album release since the death of one of the band's co-founders, Andy Fletcher.
The band are set to play at Dublin's Malahide Castle on Wednesday June 14th, supported by Scottish group Young Fathers. Their new video for 'Wagging Tongue' was directed by The Sacred Egg, with creative direction by Anton Corbijn. Check out the new video Below:
The video follows a young couple undergoing a cultist ritual. It also features cameo appearances from band members Dave Gahan and Martin Gore.
Depeche Mode have released 15 studio albums since their foundation in 1980. Their most recent album, Memento Mori, received glowing reviews upon release, and features 'Wagging Tongue', as well as the hugely successful single, 'Ghosts Again'.
Memento Mori was due to be released in Autumn last year, five months after the passing of Andy Fletcher. It was delayed due to Fletcher's death in May of last year, but was continued and finished in his honour by his fellow band members and friends Dave Gahan and Martin Gore.

The band saw great success in the '80s and '90s, with iconic tracks such as 'Just Can't Get Enough', 'Enjoy The Silence' and 'Everything Counts'. In the late 1990s, the band had back to back U.K. No.1 albums, with Songs Of Faith And Devotion in 1993, and Ultra in 1997.
Though tickets to see Depeche Mode live in Dublin next month have sold out, resale tickets may still be available at ticketmaster.ie. Their Memento Mori world tour will also see them visit the U.K, much of mainland Europe, as well as the U.S, Mexico and Canada.
