Co-written with acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter DAY_S, Fia sings of the universally-felt pain of watching lost lovers move on.
Irish pop sensation Fia Moon has revealed a beautiful, winter-themed video for new single, 'By Now'.
Directed by well-known Irish photographer and filmmaker Zoë Ardiff, the visuals showcase a side to Fia that we’ve rarely seen before as she invites us to join her in the beautiful landscapes of county Mayo - a place that means a great deal to both Fia and Zoë.
"My dad lives in Mayo so it has always been a home-away-from-home for me; a place of refuge,” explains Fia. “‘By Now’ is a very personal song to me and I wanted the video to be a reflection of that. The song is about a painful experience - but also about coming through it. For me, being out in nature, out at sunset and around animals are all very soothing and I wanted to give viewers a glimpse of where I was on my healing journey when I wrote the song.”
‘By Now’ was produced by Philip Magee — known for his work with Kodaline, The Script and Gavin James making it an all-Irish affair. The focus of this track was to let the melody and the lyrics do the talking as opposed to over-producing what already works.
Since its release on the 14th of January, sparkling ballad 'By Now' has reached No. 3 in the Irish Radio Breakers Chart, amassing over one million impacts in just over a week. It has been added to the RTÉ Radio 1 Recommends list two weeks in a row, chosen by Tracy Clifford as her 2fm Track of the Week, playlisted by Beat 102-103 and selected as an iLove Irish track on iRadio for February.
