Finally, a chance to see the Guardians in action once again!
Guardians of the Galaxy was one of the best of what is known as Marvel's Phase 2 movies. James Gunn combined comedic flair, cool action, and great casting for a pulpy, adventurous romp through outer space. Next April, the Guardians of the Galaxy will return with more quips and high flying action.
The teaser trailer gives us just a glimpse of what to expect. All five of the last movie's heroes will return, including Groot, who is now a baby in a jacket. Karen Gillan's Nebula and Michael Rooker's Yondu will join the Guardians in some capacity. Not shown is Kurt Russell as Ego the Living Planet, who has been confirmed to be Peter Quill's father. Since Quill grew up on Earth in the eighties before being spirited away to outer space, we can only hope he'll say something about how Ego looks exactly like the guy from Big Trouble in Little China and Escape from New York.
