Science fiction fans rejoice!
A space ship carrying over 5,000 people in cryosleep makes a trip to a distant colony planet, a journey that will take 120 years. Two of the sleep pods malfunction, opening up ninety years early. It just so happens that the two that wake up are incredibly attractive people, played by the attractive, charming actor and actress duo of Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. The two strike up a romance aboard the space ark, with an interior that carries the great modern science fiction trend of looking like an iPod. Perfect setting for a space romance, until something goes wrong.
That’s the premise for Passengers, directed by Morten Tyldum, known for his work on Headhunters and The Imitation Game. This movie has no relation to the 2008 film, Passengers, starring Anne Hatheway. The new film of the same name will release 21 December.
