Prepare yourself for some serious laughs and sweeping landscapes of the beautiful People's Republic of Cork.
If you like the Rubberbandits and the Hardy Bucks Boys then you'll love The Young Offenders, Conor and Jock.
In the hope of making a quick buck and escaping their troubled family lives, Conor and Jock devise a plan to cycle down to the West Cork coast in the hope of finding an astray bale of cocaine. Being pursued by the guards and roping in unfortunate innocent people to their chaotic cocaine mess, Conor and Jock get into an abundance of sticky situations.
Inspired by the real life event of Ireland's largest cocaine seizure in 2007, The Young Offenders is the feature-length directorial debut from Peter Foott. A master in the Irish comedy field, Foott brought the Rubberbandits to fame with the 'Horse Outside' video and has won awards for his contribution to RTÉ's Republic of Telly. Conor and Jock are incarnated by newcomers Chris Walley and Alex Murphy, and if this trailer is anything to go by, it certainly won't be the last we'll be seeing of this pair.
The Young Offenders will premiere at the Galway Film Festival which runs from the July 5 - 10. The comedy will then make its way nationwide in September.
Here you have it, the trailer for The Young Offenders. It's going to be a claaaass film, ju know what I mean like?
