Here comes a sinister and raw look into the present-day ivory trade.
Over the course of sixteen months, DiCaprio and crew went undercover to reveal how African Elephants are in danger - all because of greedy poachers. Leonardo DiCaprio, who has produced other documentaries such as Before the Flood, worked alongside directors Richard Ladkani and Kief Davidson to unleash the overlooked ivory trafficking troubles. Activists, frontline rangers, and conservationists all took part in the filming to infiltrate the unjust business.
DiCaprio has long been involved in conservation efforts. In 1998, he founded 'The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation,' which supports wildlife protection projects. The Ivory Game raises awareness and inspires hope for future efforts in saving wildlife before they go extinct.
The trailer points out the shocking revelation that "Africa has 700 tonnes of ivory." Where is this white gold going? And what will happen to the elephants?
