Starring Jennifer Lawrence, the 30 second clip shows us very little as well as a whole heck of a lot.
The term 'teaser trailer' has basically become a meaningless one these days. More often than not they are full-blown two-minute ads that tell us more about the film than a 1,000 word entry on a Wikipedia page.
Leave it to auteur Darren Aronofsky to bring back the lost art of properly teasing a film. The newly released footage for his upcoming Mother! isn't exactly heavy on plot but it does offer a beguiling look at what could be in store.
We see star Jennifer Lawrence walking around a particularly ominous looking home as the increasingly disquieting sounding dialogue of the other cast members is heard in voice-over. Then just at the end we are given an all out frenzy of disturbing looking sections in the film. There's a wasp, some bloody looking encounters and a particularly distressed looking Javier Bardem.

Mother! is being described as a psychological horror in which a couple's relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. According to the teaser, which you can watch below, the full trailer for the film will be out on August 8.
