Matthew McConaughey also goes against type as the Villainous "Man in Black"
For much of he 2010's Stephen King adaptions didn't seem to be the hot ticket that they used to. In recent months however, Horror's most famous author has been enjoying something of a comeback in the film world. Not too long ago we saw the promos for "IT" and today we've gotten a trailer from for hotly anticipated "The Dark Tower"
Idris Elba plays Roland Deschain A.K.A The gunslinger, a warrior form the 'mid-world' who is on a quest to reach the titular "Dark Tower" in the End World so that he can prevent it from collapsing so as to save all existence from extinction by hell. Matthew McConaughey plays the scheming, sneering sorcerer who tries stop him at every step of the way.
In this new international trailer there is much more emphasis on the rivalry between the two diametrically opposed forces of Elba and McConaughey then there is on the 11 year old character Jake Chambers. What that means is anyone's guess but its likely they wanted to draw in an older crowd.
