A brand new trailer dropped today for the third season of the smash hit supernatural series, along with the announcement of a July 4th release date.
Set to The Who's 'Baba O'Riley', the new neon-tinged trailer for Stranger Things season 3 finds the show picking up in the summer of 1985. A "teenage wasteland" it may well be, as the young cast continues to grow up, joined by a few new cast members and new locations.
Additions to the cast for season 3 include Cary Ewles (Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights) who will be playing the town's mayor, as well as Maya Hawke (Little Women) playing a coworker of Steve's at the local movie theatre. A new location for the show, the Starcourt Mall, has been teased as an important element to the season, and poolside shots promise plenty of summertime antics.
The trailer isn't all summer fun though, and spooky shots show the town of Hawkins, Indiana is far from free of paranormal threats. Fans will have plenty to speculate on in the mean time before Stranger Things season 3's July 4th release.
