The indie-pop artist has just dropped a new music video for I Dare You, her first single of 2022.
Derry singer/songwriter ROE has just released a new music video for her latest single ‘I Dare You’ that sees the young artist cruising around town with a menagerie of colourful characters.
After last year’s 'Cruel' took her to a coveted spot on the BBC Radio 1 playlist and a successful collaboration with fellow Northern Irish songwriter Ciaran Lavery on ‘Destroyer’, ROE is kicking off what is sure to be her biggest year with a new pop anthem.
The acclaimed 21-year-old multi-instrumentalist has been making waves in the Irish music scene since 2017, when her performance at the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury led to gigs across Europe, North America, and India. In 2018 She won the coveted Northern Ireland Music Prize for Best Emerging Artist and toured alongside Snow Patrol.
In the new music video, ROE chauffeurs a series of passengers through the city as they join her to shout a song about letting emotions free you from the mundanity of everyday struggles.

“The inevitable drives between shows and home are so ridiculous and difficult and new every time," she explains. "This song is about every unpredictable emotion that stems from adrenaline and exhaustion on the road and the parts of our lives as musicians that nobody ever gets to see."
